The Kidman Way project was a 3.2 km length pathway into Griffith city, designed for mixed purposes of walking, cycling and running. With inclusivity in mind, it has provided greater access for those with disabilities, specifically designed to also encourage physical activity for residents, wheelchair abled people and tourists alike.
The overall solution delivered increased security for those using the pathway / cycleway. P3 lighting was key for public safety removing any potential accidents between cyclists and pedestrians during evening hours.
Given the council’s focus to reduce the carbon footprint of the city, Asten Solar provided a sustainable lighting solution. This solar lighting solution not only helps reduce the carbon footprint but also requires minimal maintenance compared to grid connected alternatives.
